I appear to be at a dead-end but wanted to ask you guys. The G4 (M8493) that I had in storage has a SIIG SC-SA4011 card in it. I got this machine years ago and never powered it up until now. System Profiler sees the card as a generic mass storage device under PCI hardware and says the driver isn't loaded. SIIG doesn't list any Mac drivers at all. Do you guys know if it can be made to work, and more to the point, is it bootable in this generation of G4's?

TIA

You need a sc-sa4m12 straight designed for power mac's or you can (HUGE thx to Dosdude1!!!!) reflash your PC version card with Mac firmware.

I found this thread but came up pretty empty. There were a lot of older dead links. I tried flashing with the 3112 firmware that people said they were able put put on the 3114 but flashrom says the size doesn't match and quits, and the updflash utility says it didn't find an 3112 and quits. I'm probably missing something simple here, but I'm stumped.

I'm using an old Dell Optiplex GX280 with freeDOS to update the card.
