So is this on the m2 air?
Wonder if that has been related to somewhere under Accessibility settings? I can somewhat see the logic in having a haptic setting live there. So is this on the m2 air?
I don’t have the option on mine 😳
Not a big deal but I’ve noticed it straight away that the click is louder
No. That's from an older version of MacOS. I just posted it so people could see what was benign discussed. So is this on the m2 air?

Makes clicking the trackpad silent. What does silent click do?
By disabling haptics, right? I’ve never used this setting before.Makes clicking the trackpad silent.

What about if you disconnect your Magic Trackpad? The following pic is from my M2 Air.
Very unusual. I just disconnected, and the option disappeared. Haven't seen that happen before. What about if you disconnect your Magic Trackpad?
I can't find it anywhere either UNTIL my Magic trackpad is connected. I suspect they changed some stuff in the internals of the trackpad on the MBA that the decided that option wasn't needed anymore.I see some people confuse Silent Clicking with Tap to Click. Those two are not the same. Silent clicking still gave you a haptic feedback, just not as audible. I used it on my M1 Air. But I got the M2 Air earlier this week, and also can't find it anywhere. Not sure if someone at Apple just forgot to put the switch back in Ventura (wouldn't be the first thing that's missing), or if it's straight up not supported on the new Air.
