Silent Mail Sound

Is there a way to silence the mail sound while the phone's switch is on loud. I can make the sms vibrate only through bitesms but don't want to use the winterboard package silent mail sound. Does anyone have a silent mail sound and the location to ssh it to to make this work?

try this:
system/library/audio/uisounds but maybe re-name the original file (ie "mail-sentORIG") before replacing it with the attached...

I'm confused. Why not just turn off the sound in "Settings->Sounds"?

just go to:
Settings>Sounds>New Mail OFF
Settings>Sounds>Sent Mail OFF 😎
