Hello All,

I tried searching for any postings related, but alas, I could'nt find any..

Is 10.6 now supporting the Silicon Image eSata driver? The reason I ask is that, according to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3258 the driver isnt supported.

The other day I decided to make the switch over to 10.6 (Ive waited because of Pro Tools concerns), and voila, my WD MyBook is working just fine over 10.6, no kernel panics and around 2TB transferred in the past couple of days....

Could anyone shed some light? I doubt I've stumbled on a freak case here..

TIA,
Derek

My Sonnet Tempo e-SATA card works fine in 32bit mode on SL it uses the 3132 so it would depend on the driver you get from the manufacturer, I have recently got a card by SeriTek which works in 64bit according to their website not had time to install it yet so can't confirm this.
