How good/bad is this case?

Planning on using it untill the tech 21 case I want is out..

thanks

I’ve used one since the 6 plus came out. Each one was excellent.

I bought the lavender gray for my xs max

I have the silver iPhone XS Max and the Lavender Gray is a great complimentary color of the phone. It's not too light, not too dark. I don't normally like silicon cases, usually have done leather... so this is a departure from the normal plain black leather for me ... so far loving it!

I’ve been using the silicone cases since 6s Plus. But lately two of my 7/8 Plus silicone cases have chipped at the lower corners down near the speaker grills. They’re both over a year old. Not sure what going on. I suppose it’s just a consequence of age.

Normally I love these and would recommend them. I did chip one other silicone case on the corner by dropping my iPhone on a hardwood floor and it did protect the iPhone fully, but that is not the cause of chips in the two cases I’m talking about. My phones go into their own pockets in my backpack or purses.

I’ve never not had them chip or at least get shiny in the corners but I get at least 6 good months out of them and they feel and look great. Wish that there were more bright colors for the XS other than nectarine but they update the line constantly. I’m using stone right now on my XS. Yes of course they cost too much being from Apple but I’m also the person that apparently thinks it is acceptable to buy a new $1000+ iPhone every single year.

I must be unlucky. I had 3 Silicone Cases and all of them wore out significantly between 6 and 9 months to the point of being unusable.

It's too bad because they look and feel great otherwise.

Leather Case is a bit too grippy for my taste, but it lasts far longer and I love the metallic button on the Leather Case.

I've had one on my iPhone since the 6s Plus and they've all held up well. They've only gotten shiny and a small knick here and there. I don't like how they look after a years use though...

My case has held up well. I do know that some here have exchanged or had their cases replaced.

They are under warranty (I think it's a year?), but I also think it's one of the items that people forget actually has a warranty.

I had my first silicone case on my old 6s Plus swapped out. My iPhone stopped working (out of the blue, just died) while on a roadtrip, so stopped at a local Apple store. The guy swapped phones and the case.

I recently picked up a Midnight Blue silicone case for my X from Best Buy since they're discontinued. I've been using leather for the past 10 months and I really like the change in feel. Plus the midnight blue on my leather had pretty much patina'd all the way to black so having some color again is nice.

They’re okay for about a week from brand new.

After that, the corners wear very quickly and the case starts to become almost too grippy and a dust magnet.

Leather is the way to go. They lose their slipperyness after a week or so and look better with age/wear

Do yo have a photo of the lavender gray?

I know sometimes photos look slightly different (darker or lighter) than the featured photos on Apple's website.

Most of the threads here are about the leather case, so it would be cool to see some silicone photos, lol!!
