I just got my iPhone 6 Plus about a month ago. I initially got the silicon case from Verizon to protect my phone at first. It was shiney and gave a good grip. Pretty descent case for $20. I decided, after much thought and reading reviews, to try the Apple silicone case. It was much better than the Verizon case. It felt great. High quality. It had a strange smell though that soon began to dissipate. It became a little tacky gripping after awhile and attracted lint around the edges of the screen by the edge of the case after being in my pocket. No big deal really. But I got curious about the leather case. I ordered it and I love it. So much better than the silicone case. It is thinner and not as tacky. It fits the phone so much better. It's also black and not gray like the silicone. It's much easier to get in and out of the pocket with less lent. Condensation from the palm does not build up as much either. It's by far the better case and well worth the premium dollar.

Hands down go with leather over silicone if you have any doubts.

The small price difference between the cases helped me make an easy decisions n. The fact that I had a leather case the year before didn't hurt.

I got it in red leather for my 6+ and love it too.

I also love the leather case. I have the midnight blue. The leather is much better this time as opposed to the iPhone 5s one.

I have both in pink. I prefer the silicone case because it's hot pink, feels nicer in the hand and looks like it will hold up better over time.

Leather is thinner. Silicone has better grip. Both great cases it's a matter of preference.

I love the Apple leather case too. The only other case I liked better on the 5S was the Thule Atmos X3, but it's too bulky on the 6 version for some reason- probably the rounded corners.

That said, I get more lint with the 6 leather but not too bad. Can't imagine how much lint the silicone version accumulates, yuck!

I gave the red silicone case go about week. And took it back to the Apple Store and exchange it for a red leather case. Just couldn't get use to the silicone. Have the black leather case since 10/16 on my SG 6+ I just like the feel of the leather better has a more premium feel to it. And besides the silicone started to get slippery after awhile and I notice it attract a lot of dirt as well, Just not for me.

When a case is too nice and its susceptible, you almost need a case for the case. But at least the case helps with a little bit of protection for the phone.

I have the leather one but rarely use it anymore. I dropped it one time and the bottom uncovered part hit the ground and scratched

I had Apple's 'Midnight Blue' leather case for my iPhone 6 and it was a good case.

I now have Apple's silicone (which is exactly the same size) and it is equally a good case. I actually prefer the silicone case though, because 1 - it actually looks slimmer than the leather case (I put both, side by side and they are indeed the same size), and 2, the silicone case offers more grip (because of the grippy nature of the case) than the leather one.

The leather one is not good if you put it in your jean pocket - the dye gets transferred and the leather does mark easy. I've tried both red and the natural.

However when you use the silicon one, the phone tends to stick in your pocket, so it 6 of one, and 1/2 dozen of the other..

I bought the red leather case when I first bought my 6 Plus. It's all they had in stock. I liked it very nice.

But just went to the Apple Store and picked up the Black silicone case for my Space Greay 6 Plus. OMFG I LOVE this case. Feels soooooo good in the hand, and I like the color being more of a dark grey not black, looks great my phone.

Both are great. But I prefer the feel and look of the black silicone.
