Lol... I use a paperclip as well when I am not at home, but I still have the SIM ejector tool from my first iPhones.

A safety pin works as well.

Well my iPhone 4 came with one! A paperclip will work fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they just stopped including them in US iPhone packages. But anyways, yes paperclips work perfectly. I've even opened one at school with my 0.5mm mechanical pencil so there's lots of resources out there!

I might sound paranoid but last time when i did airline travel, i did not take the SIM ejector tool but instead took a paper clip in my carry on since i was skeptical about that pointer sim ejector tool

On my recent trip to Ireland, I forgot to take a paper clip with me to switch sims out on my iPad. You'd be surprised to know just how hard it is to find a paper clip when you want one. No one I asked had one, so I was dejectedly walking along thinking I was out of luck, when I spotted something metal in a crack between two paving stones. Lo and behold, it was a paper clip!

Another random tale... This afternoon I was cleaning out the file in which I keep receipts, proofs of purchase, warranties, etc., and I found not one, but two sim tools. Made my day.

My 4S didn't come with one but my new iPad did...I guess they think you are going to be changing SIM's in the iPad more for some reason?
