I'm hold with ATT chat for 10 mins so far. Has any of you experienced this? The phone all of a sudden said Sim failure. I can't set up WiFi calling either. The option is not even on the phone. I have no idea what happened. My Maxx is coming tomorrow. I can't see them turning the old sim off early.

How come the WiFi option is not there? Sorry, I'm just in a pinch. I will report back what happens.

Did you try rebooting the phone, doing a hard reset, or popping the sim out and putting it back in?

Yes I did, ATT had to resend or reset my Sim. It was on their end.
[doublepost=1537489908][/doublepost]It was a misplace of my sim in their system, what ever than means. But, I could not use wifi calling which I thought was strange.

So everything is back to normal now including WiFi calling?

It seems to be and yes with Wifi calling. So without a carrier, I can't call wifi then? I thought the whole point of WiFi calling , was to be able to call with no carrier service.

Maybe, I don't understand it then.

I’m not 100% certain either. I just know it currently operates through a carrier. Maybe it’s so the call gets routed properly. Not sure. Hopefully someone else will chime in that knows more about WiFi calling.

Maybe carrier locked phone?
