An unlocked phone? No you cannot buy a factory unlocked iPhone in the US

Apple sells iPhones unlocked in Canada and Mexico, but not in the US. It's both sad and ironic.

If it's truly factory unlocked, then that's a decent deal, especially if it's in good condition, considering you can't buy them in the US and they cost like $750 ish new here.

It exists elsewhere, though (United Kingdom, Canada, France, etc.). It could be legitimate. I'd find out more from the buyer about how they acquired the phone.

if they are imported from Canada (or another country that sells unlocked), then yes they are around in the US. but they don't directly sell them from the Apple Store unlocked.
