Yea literally 2 hours ago it went live, I tried this morning and it was not letting me purchase one saying there was a limit on how many X can be bought even though I only had one to begin with...Pretty pissed about it since I'll have to wait for stock again.
did you call and ask why you got that error message? seems odd if you just had one.

It is odd if you only had 1 and get the message but if you buy multiple, then eventually you will get this message. I've gotten this message for when I tried to get airpods.

Typically this happens if you order couple of them. Usually after a month or so it resets and you are able to buy again.

Look at 6:00 am local time tomorrow, they should have plenty for weekend crowd.

No luck today - doesn't look like any of the stores around me received any stock at all. Do the Apple stores get stock on Sundays? If not hopefully next week works out.

Anyone knows if is been having iPhone X's for walk-in customers in NYC? I'll be arriving in NYC next friday :/

I've been checking this site daily, it's pretty darn accurate.
(Make sure you have "X" selected, zoom in on the Apple Stores in NYC. Check "GREEN" map icons - if any - from there you can click and buy online for a store pick up. There were quite a few in NYC, NJ, my area in Philly with all green this morning (same thing last weekend, stock seemed to fill up all over)...ugh, not anymore as of 12:40pm. I think the best advice is wake up early, like 6, 7am...hit the site immediately. Make your selection ASAP.

The tmobile version is good for any GSM such as AT&T.
I asked this in another thread, I know this may sound like "noob" ques. I HAVE a fully functioning 8+ with ATT SIM, The X was available this morning just down the street from me..When I added it to the cart it said "ATT SIM - Activate Later"

Question is, can I simply get the X, bring it home, take out the SIM from my 8+ and pop it into the X and that's it, it works? I never tried this before, that's why I'm asking. 🙂

No, they don't receive shipments on Sundays. But they will receive shipments today and those that come in today will be sold tomorrow. It's been like this for the last few weeks.

I got a Verizon model online even though I am not a customer. For some reason, Apple allowed me to purchase online for an in-store reservation/pick-up. Qualcomm modem and CDMA flexibility. I got my "SIM free" model in a way.

That's because as of yesterday Apple.com is no longer asking you to enter your carrier info.

But technically not really a "True" sim-free as it still comes with the SIM card, but of course you can remove that.

Thanks, a working ATT sim into a ATT non activated X I would think should work.

I think I'm reading TOO much info...all about different carriers and about GSM, CDMA (iPhone X under ATT does not have CDMA according to the below chart). It's new to met and I guess it gets a tad confusing.

"While GSM is the standard for most carriers around the globe, Sprint and Verizon in the U.S. still use CDMA. While Apple hasn’t shared the iPhone X’s exact cellular specifications on its website, it does let us know that the AT&T and T-Mobile variants will be GSM only and won’t work with Verizon and Sprint.

While Apple is clearly detailing that all models are unlocked when choosing a carrier variant, the Verizon and Sprint models will have the most carrier flexibility, until we see Apple offer a SIM free version"

Well, yes, it is not truly SIM free since it came with a Verizon SIM and will not share the same model # w/ Verizon, but CDMA and GSM w/ Qualcomm is still there. I will take it since my family might move its plan to another carrier.

Yes. Unlocked Qualcomm phone that is not attached to any carrier. Won’t ask for any pre loaded carrier information.
