iPhone 12 Pro Sim-free or T-Mobile? Any difference?

Are their any differences between the two devices if I paying full price at the time of purchase via Apple.com on a one time payment?
Sim free versus T-mobile version? I know years ago their were different radios/bands supported by different carrier models.
I am currently on T-Mobile prepaid with my XS Max that was purchased sim free but I want the ability to switch at any time. I travel often and want the phone with the most "bands".
Are they all the same this year?
