Other SIM PIN for eSIM

Just curious if anyone uses a PIN to lock their eSIM anymore. I used to use one when I had a iPhone with a physical SIM card but now that I have on eSIM not sure if it offers any protection

I personally don’t see any point on an eSIM pin- they can’t be removed and placed into another device!

It has to do something though right? Does it somehow prevent the eSIM from being transferred?
