Hi, so I have this habit of removing the sim tray to clean debris and what not from around the opening, will this cause any issues / wear to the device?

I mean they are made to be removed / inserted right ?

iPhone X btw

Thanks

You will damage it if you keep taking it in and out for no reason. There is a rubber ring around the base of the sim tray that provides a water tight seal.

So what if you had two SIM cards and had to swap them on a regular basis?

It’s not really necessary to remove your Sim card tray and clean it regularly. Keep in mind, it’s has a very tight tolerance inside there, where a lot of dust and debris doesn’t necessarily get trapped that easily, especially with the surrounding seal. Cleaning inside the Sim tray doesn’t need to be a regular habit.
