Nope, not unless you have the old baseband (which isn't possible with the 8gb).

Just go on ebay and buy an IMEI permanent unlock

Like anyone would really care if the buyer bought the phone before of after the 26th.
That law is about to change very soon anyway but not like the librarian of congress will come find you if you unlock your iphone.
