My IMac, a 10.6.8 OSX version, will not allow me to adjust the volume from the keyboard. This has been the case ever since I went to their store to get full access to my keyboard, with regards to the cursor and keypad. The apple store could not help over the phone and I no longer have an apple care plan for technical support. I looked in the system preferences, universal access &audio settings. Must be I am missing something. Please help of you can.

Thanks

Chris

What Mac do you have and what keyboard do you use, because I am a bit confused, as you mentioned "cursor" and "keypad" (trackpad maybe?).
Have you looked at System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard > Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys?
