Simple clamshell question/mid-2012

My MBP has a cracked display glass (though the display itself works quite well still) and I'm wondering something. My MBP came with the glossy screen- "Hi Res" (non-retina) 661-6505. If necessary, is it interchangeable with the matte 661-6506?

From what I recall, yes. I had the glossy screen 2012 15 MBP and was really wanting a matte high res screen, but they were too expensive and I ended up buying a unit with a matte screen and selling my unit with the glossy screen.

iFixit is probably a good place to find out. Their technicians should be able to give you a definitive answer.
