Hi,

I've googled to no end and can't seem to find what I'm looking for - They are either too complicated, or don't work, or are outdated.

I'm looking for a simple app that enables me to drag a photo from my desktop to an icon on the Finder bar, and then automatically uploads it (to Photobucket or Imageshack or some other image host) and copies the direct link... I've tried CloudApp, Photosync, DropIr, Dropbox... none of them seem to be able to give me this simple feature.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi. Both ImageShack and Flickr offer drag and drop image up loaders. They are pretty straightforward once you get past the quirks that both have in getting the direct link. I wrote a bunch of PDF tutorials for the folks over in the Digital Photography forum. They are in then link in my sig.

Hi there,

I looked at the Imageshack uploader and it seems pretty clunky.. I want something where I don't really have to interact with the UI of the app.. just drag to the App's icon on the menu bar, and then automatically upload and copy link.

I just use Dropbox. You just do the drag-and-drop part, but afterward you have to right-click and choose Copy Public Link. I never considered the right-clicking part to be too difficult.

Look on the tools section of the image host Imgur. They list an IS X uploader that may fit the bill for you.

I just use their web page to UL. Just drag an image onto the page and click UL. Works well.
