Simple question re: upgrading to 2.0.2

Hiya

I have an iPhone 2g which is currently running 1.1.4 and unlocked/jailbroken with the pwnage tool.

I want to upgrade my software to 2.0.2 via iTunes. If i do this, will it lock my phone (I am using an O2 sim)? Will I lose any data on my phone (texts etc)?

I have been told by a friend that if i upgrade via iTunes to v2, that my phone will still work on with my O2 sim (it is not an iPhone tarriff)?

Please could someone help me out - i've read through so many threads but cant seem to get a definitive answer.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

It will work fine with an O2 Sim as long as it was a UK bought phone. I have had mine working now for the last 2 months with a PAYG sim and have upgraded to each release upto 2.0.2 without any problems. No need to jailbreak or unlock any longer which is sweet.

Will i lose any of the data on my phone? Text messages, photos etc?
