Simple questions about applications

For remote PC control, doesn't Microsoft make a Remote Desktop client? Yep, just checking my disk, it's in my Office folder (Remote Desktop Connection). Not sure if it's a free download or not though.

Ambrosia Software's Snapz Pro X can do this.

Disk Utility, a program that comes with Mac OS X, and is found in /Applications/Utilities, is capable of making disk images of virtually any disk. You might also find Roxio's Toast handy for this sort of thing.
 
Does anyone know if final cut pro exports videos to flash-swf?

Is there any good program to rip audio cd to mp3 files?

I followed these instructions but when I insert an audio cd, itunes do not display cd-files.
Any ideas?

I have some .avi videos that I cannot open them.
I tried vlc, mplayer, quicktime but with no luck.
I guess a codec is missing.
How can I fix it?

Ι select everything in a firefox web page, text and graphic. Then I make 'copy'(shortcut or menu, tried both). Then I open microsoft word. Paste. It is pasted only text.
Why? Where is the problem? I want to copy paste all text and graphics.
 
Is there a simple way, or any way to change the preset page margins in TextEdit? When I print, there's a margin of an inch on both left and right of the page that I cannot find any way of changing. Very frustrating :mad:

Most of these questions you could answer yourself if you just took the time to look on the web for half an hour or so, or just read previous threads in this forum.

I try to open the dat file through 'open file' in quicktime but it stuck.

Come on now, this is ridiculous! You are asking mountains of questions without doing any of your own research, whereas most switchers (myself included) have trawled through threads over the past year, done much googleing and figured out the best apps etc to use. You don't seem to be bothered about doing anything yourself and I don't think I've ever seen you thank anyone.

These forums are about sharing of info, not just taking!

I cannot believe what every software developer said. They said they have the perfect software. It is not always true.

So here comes the forum.
Somebody that has already tried a program can tell the others about it.
I will be a newbie for a long time. The time that I will advice others on mac platform is not close enough.

If you dont want it, just avoid this topic. If somebody wants to reply and help me can do it as well.

Also, in some forums I used to thank after replies and told me it is not necessary. Forums exist just about these case. So, this is the explanation.

I tried audacity for basic audio editing(delete, copy, paste) but I did not found it user friendly. Thats my opinion.
Have you used something else?

I wish I had found a good address book exporting method for its contacts.
I searched this forum, I search google, I found a few and not very successful methods.

I found out about 'address book exporter', http://www.gwenhiver.net/address-book-exporter.html

I tried its options. Finally I did not get a good txt file, or a good excel import.



Any suggestions please?
