Simple Trick??

I have been using Mac for years and yet Have only just noticed the inserted web link, You know where someone puts here underlined in blue in a sentence and when you click on it your off to a web page.
Well having clicked on them for years I think it is time I found out how to do that insert myself.

So "how do I do it"??

here on the site or in general ? it's called a hyperlink (or just link).
here on the site you use the little chain link icon (7th icon from left)

other places, where HTML is supported you write <a href="link URL">some text</a>
