I had an external hard drive by SimpleDrive that I used with my Macbook. I upgraded to MacBook Pro and decided that I would buy a portable hard drive because I was tired of needing a power source for my laptop's external drive.

Anyways,

I decided that I was going to use the External Drive with my wifes computer which is a PC and went to disk utility and reformatted it for FAT32. Now, for some reason, the PC nor the Mac recognizes the drive when it is plugged in. It has power, but that is all that it is showing.

Response

I finally got in touch with one of the technical representatives from SimpleTech and he told me that there is a one year manufacturers warranty with all of there items. He told me that the drive was at fault itself.

I am just going to mail it in and get another one.

I kind of feel that with saving money with the cheaper drive, it is my fault. Luckily I backed up all of the information.

Thanks for the replies.
