hahaha that pretty much sums it up VERY VERY well. That is hilarious. I mean it's nothing we don't already know, but it's awesome that the Simpsons put it out there like this.

Very funny, and something good to laugh at on another crappy monday :(

I thought the 1984 reference was quite smart, the simpsons is quite good at accomodating older viewers with intertextual references that would otherwise fly right over the average kid viewers head's.

The humour was a bit forced though, too many gags. It was pulling too many punches. Fanboy's will instantly hate this, it got a chuckle out of me

In a nutshell it wasn't subtle enough and was really very witty either. If Family Guy parodied Apple I could see it being ALOT more funny.

Microsoft must have paid Simpsons (or the other way around). They can't use the word Microsoft without their permission, right?

The 1984 ad was cliche. Well, to me it was. I'm glad they didn't rehash the jokes about outdated iPods, 'cos that would also be cliche.

Everything else was awesome. Even though I like Macs, I think its rampant consumerism should be taken to task. The yuppy mentality of the Apple cult is abhorrent.

Id say 60% of it was funny, 40% was beating a dead horse.

The 1984 commercial part with comic book guy had me giggling like a little girl tho!

:D

LMAO our real sloagan is no refunds :D

Seriously how much did apple pay for that ad!!

the Simpsons have always loved Apple (yes they are real people !)

their life stories are stored on macs, one day (in year 1) Groening's team lost one episode because of a hard drive failure.

some company managed to repair it, and has used it ever since on it's mac world expo booth.

the Apple engineers love the Simpsons as well, Paul Mercer (Finder Team) used to invite people at his house every thursday to watch the simpsons. followed by twin peaks.

great times !

Not sure about that, but I have noticed if you try to google microsoft and look at the right where it shows you what keywords where filtered out, microsoft itself is filtered.

It gave me a chuckle. Although it seems like the Simpsons is turning a bit Family Guy-ish, with all the random jokes.

After 20 years, im happy there still churning out episodes, but its completely apparant theyre running REALLY low on material.
