So I just installed Windows Vista on my Macbook via Boot Camp yesterday. I tried to install The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, and at first it gave me an error message saying it couldn't find a compatible graphics card. I then realized I hadn't installed the most recent updates for Vista. I did the system updates as well as a patch for the Sims and then the game opened.

I thought it was running fine, but now I can only get as far as "Create-a-Sim." When I try to load the family I created into the neighborhood the game freezes. Occasionally it will freeze sooner, but it most commonly freezes when I try to return to the neighborhood with newly created Sims.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? I allocated 32 GB for the Windows partition of my hard drive, which seems like enough. Here is (I think) the pertinent info on my Macbook:

Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz (Sims requires 1.0 GHz)
Hard drive free space: 17 GB in windows (Sims requires 5.5 GB)
Video/Sound: DirectX 10.0 (Sims requires DirectX 9.0)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
