I'm planning on getting a 11" MBA, 8gb mem, but other than that, basic, can I expect to be able to play the Sims, or can I just give up that little fantasy right now?

I'm planning on getting a 11" MBA, 8gb mem, but other than that, basic, can I expect to be able to play the Sims, or can I just give up that little fantasy right now?
It'll run perfectly fine.
I can play L4D2 without any lag on medium to low settings!
