Since I updated to iOS 8.3 the 'other' portion of memory has doubled in size.

Does anyone know why?

Does anyone know how to reduce it?

My "other" data became huge after 8.3 update, apple says to restore to new to fix, I don't want to wipe out all my info. They said a backup will just put it back. I have 37gb of other now

me neither, the "other" size doubled from 3GB to 6GB since updated to 8.3
and the free space size says 5GB, and the truth is i only have 1,5GB free space on my iPhone

All I have is other 30.34gb

nothing else.

Just other and 25.56GB free space. What a colossal **** up.

don't know if a reboot of iTunes fixed mine or something else but all is back to normal.

My 'Other' has now reduced to 1.68 - half of what it was on iOS 8.2.

My documents / data has increased in size by a gigabyte, but that still leaves an overall reduction.

I'm pleased at this reduction, but I don't understand why it was at 6 or 7GB for the days after the update.

I'm not pretty sure if "Other" data is moved to Documents and Data. I also experienced increase in others data when I updated my 6+ to iOS 8.3.
