I've got some black Oakley Minutes with polarized lenses; very nice for lifeguarding. I used to have the RAZRwire, but I returned it since I felt that $300 USD was far to much for some Oakley's and a Bluetooth headset, no matter how nice they were.

I want to get some Oakley Half-Jackets before the summer; I'll probably get black ones and some polarized lenses :), I'm a sucker for that stuff.

instead of starting a new thread i thought i would ask here....
I'm getting a new pair of sunglasses. I'm getting oakleywhiskers I can't decide which color. silver frame with gray lens or pewter frame with black polarized lens.

I like the silver better but what's the advantage of having a polarized lens. I plan on using them for driving and walking around being in the sun. (not too much of beach/water use)

Here's a quick link to a site that talks about polarized lenses.

Hope this helps in your decision. I personally have polarized sunglasses and love them.

yea i read it, but is it worth the extra $$$$

Both of my glasses have Transition lenses, the only pair of straight up sunglasses I own are only used for cycling and whatnot.

I have three pairs of Oakley sunglasses. They are all the same type as the pic below.

Mine are the same style, but a very dark green (almost black) with black polarized lenses. Worth every penny. It's amazing what a stellar set of polarized lenses can do to your ability to see outside or while driving.

I was gonna get transition glasses, but I wasn't sure whether it would be annoying to have your glasses change tint all the time. I mean, if I'm indoors and happen to be sitting near a window, do I want to look like a prick who's wearing sunglasses indoors because I'm so vain and Bono-esque?

And of course, how quick are the transitions? How quickly does it go from completely transparent, to tinted dark, and back to transparent?

Wow, you searched through an old thread instead of starting a new one, AND you didn't revive a 5 year old thread. Bravo. ;)
