So I have been using my Airpods for a month with no issues. I usually only use one at a time while I am at my desk at work. When somebody comes up to my desk to talk to me, I simply pull it out and the music stops playing. When the person leaves, I put it back in my ear and push play on my phone.

All the sudden today, every time I take the single Airpod out of my ear the music starts playing out of my iPhone speaker.

Any ideas on what has changed?

Strange. Try disconnecting And reconnecting Bluetooth.

I do the same and have noticed it begins playing from the phone, too. Would be nice for it to continue from the one pod.
