    Hello!

I'm taking a beginning digital photography class and this week's assignment is lighting. I need some help figuring out which of these photographs is the best, if any of them are satisfactory, and how to improve. They have not been altered via Photoshop except for a quick conversion to B&W.

    Thank you in advance!

My favourite is the last one (well the last 2 really) :p

I just like the way the shadow fills the picture so it doesn't feel 'busy' :)

I like #3 the best, I like where you positioned the bottle, and the way the shadow looks like it is getting smaller, and smaller. The way the focus is on the bottle also helps add to this.

Yes. I think I might use that one to fulfill the assignment.

I like 3527 the most, it has nice balance. The first picture feels like a family portrait, which is kinda funny to me for some reason...

IMG_3553BW is the best, but the middle one is OOF.

The last two tell me you understood the assignment best. I like the last best, just because I'm a sucker for vertical photography.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I get an error when trying to load the site.

I like most of them - and it is difficult but I like IMG_3540BW - did you try any other angles for the light source - I have never tried this type of photography so I wondered how lighting more from above or below would change the effects through the glass.
