Hello!

I'm taking a beginning digital photography class and this week's assignment is lighting. I need some help figuring out which of these photographs is the best, if any of them are satisfactory, and how to improve. They have not been altered via Photoshop except for a quick conversion to B&W.

Thank you in advance!

My favourite is the last one (well the last 2 really) :p

I just like the way the shadow fills the picture so it doesn't feel 'busy' :)

I like #3 the best, I like where you positioned the bottle, and the way the shadow looks like it is getting smaller, and smaller. The way the focus is on the bottle also helps add to this.

I like 3527 the most, it has nice balance. The first picture feels like a family portrait, which is kinda funny to me for some reason...

I like most of them - and it is difficult but I like IMG_3540BW - did you try any other angles for the light source - I have never tried this type of photography so I wondered how lighting more from above or below would change the effects through the glass.
