I downloaded the installer from MAS, made the USB stick, and installed onto an external SSD scratch drive just to test everything to completion.

I booted into the Recovery Partition to see what the deal was with SIP. It is still no longer a GUI menu option, but running the command 'csrutil status' in a Terminal showed it to be disabled. When I rebooted back into the main OS, the terminal command showed it is disabled.

Anyone else seeing this?

Did you use the GM before and disable it? It will carry across the system, because it’s stored in NVRAM.

Aha, yes I did use this laptop (with a different external drive with GM on it) and had it disabled. Thanks.
