yes it's insanely loud

Unless you get the watch wet. Then, it is strongly muted. And, the water eject function doesn't seem to solve it.

That is literally the only issue I have found with the watch so far. The little hole for the siren speaker doesn't seem to be cleared by the water ejection function for the main speaker- and it doesn't do a very good job of clearing the main speaker either.

I have to blow the speaker out with air to get normal volume after submerging the watch and running the ejection routine a few times.

I just tested the siren and it’s barely audible. I came it the forum to search and found this. Heh. I did shower a bit ago so that’s prob it. Will try again when it’s dry I guess b

Haven’t tried the siren yet but I did notice how the watch speaker mutes after submersion. Even after multiple ejection routines it was still not great — will try to blow the speaker out with air next time! It’s the only “flaw” I’ve found so far!

You can literally puff air into the speaker holes with your mouth. It works fine after that. But yes, it's an issue.

Hello, I just received my AWU and I seem to have the same problem. Do you have any solution yet?

The water in the speaker muffling sounds was posted about as an issue here way back when with the original series 0 watch. Nothing has changed, if the speakers are water logged sounds will be muffled. I don’t think there’s any technology, currently, that can get around that. The water ejection function may or may not work. But as @Toratek mentioned puffing air into them to clear the water after immersion normally works. Again that’s not a change from the original nor subsequent watches. Just remember to do it.

I always questioned back then why people would swim or shower with such a device since moisture impermeability was not a listed feature. But it is with the Ultra so it’s amazing that we can even use such a device under water. But I don’t think I’ll be using the siren under water any time soon, might attract a shark.😁

I don’t know. I tried it again today with no water exposure, and it’s louder. It’s not as loud as I think people made it out to be. It’s really a feature I don’t care about so I was just catching it.

Put it on water lock mode. Press & hold the crown until water is ejected.
Sorry , but my watch has never been in the water yet :)
But I am wondering....is any of you having the low siren volume perhaps running watchOS 9.1 beta 3? Because I am and I just found a thread on Reddit describing exactly this problem. And all who have installed the last beta seem to have the low volume.
So I think that in my case it is a bug in the OS and thus I am not worried and wait for the next update (should drop next week).

Running the same version, having the same problem on my AWU. So yes, I think it is a watchOS 9.1 beta 3 problem.

I’m not on beta. Alarm works fine except when wet. It’s not as ear-splittingly loud as some people describe, though. Hehe.

I gave up on the siren/speaker issue and returned AWU for full refund. Some say hardware issue on mine or update would fix... Didnt feel like sending in for repairs, guess Ill wait for the next Ultra.
