Can this new Siri AI access banking apps. Can you toggle the access to these kind of apps be disabled as I do not want it doing that.

I’m guessing that it will vary bank to bank, but here in Canada, both the TD bank app and the Scotiabank app work perfectly.

So you are saying that Siri has access to your two banking app details?
I hope this is not the case because I will not allow that in any way so will not bother upgrading.
Surly there will be an option to limit what personal data you allow.

Siri only has access to first party Apple apps at this time. The APIs are there for developers to start testing, but nothing they make is going to be approved until September.

Every individual app has an Apple Intelligence & Siri subsection in the Settings app that can be individually turned off. Everything is enabled by default at this time.

That said, if you leave Siri AI on for Mail.app and have bills and receipts in your email, that financial data is accessible by Siri. I can ask Siri how much my water bill is and it will pull that info from my email.

I don’t think it will be the case. But I don’t think the poster who I was questioning meant it to come across as it did. I take it that he was saying that the apps simply work on this latest beta, rather than Siri has full unfettered access to banking details… but I wanted him to confirm it

Not at all what I'm saying, I'm just confirming that these two apps work in iPadOS 27 beta 1 because there have been questions about whether banking apps were working. The new Siri doesn't have access to my banking information.

Exactly my point. That’s what I said above, answering someone else.
