My wife's iPhone 11 and my iPhone 15 are both on iOS 17.0.3
We don't have access to the Siri button when using the Apple Tv remote app on the iPhone. It appears briefly at connection but then disappears again. Is anybody else having the same issue? Both devices are registered on the Apple TV.
Thanks

Yes, doing that. Nothing happens. Although if I press it as soon as the mic icon appears (even if I don't want Siri), it seems to then recognise it from that point onwards.
If I don't press it as soon as I open the app, it never works

Not sure what to suggest, it worked without issue with mine when I tried it before posting.

Hold the phone side power button while in the remote and you’ll see Siri appear on the TV.

Threw me for a loop as well.

Ah, we both have the side button OFF for Siri on our phones. Enabling that does the trick. Strange though that if press the button as soon as the icon appears, it works after that with no problem, even though the setting remains OFF.
I would have assumed you could set it OFF for the phone but it would default to ON for the AppleTV Remote app?

My side button is set to off and works just as intended with the remote app 🤷🏻‍♂️
