Recently when I ask Siri to text someone, she will often go through some blurb telling me that I usually use Messages for sending texts so she will use that app. It's an annoying time-waste so I've been looking for a way to set Messages as the default so I don't need to listen to her blab on about it.

I haven't been able to find a solution so far, so I'm hoping someone here may know? Thanks!

I had Siri tell me that but only once. I don't think this setting is available yet for messages. It's because of the big push to allow users to have a choice of default apps so Apple is trying to make it happen.

I was hoping it would be a one-time thing but it has happened a few times now. Hopefully they’ll add a setting soon.
