I'm looking for an app that is similar to Alexa's flash briefing or news on google home. You can choose from a variety of sources and order it how you wish. And launch the whole thing with a command(I'm sure shortcuts will allow that part at least)

I know I can make a podcast playlist in the apple podcast app however these are full episodes. Not just the snippets you get in Alexa flash briefing.

Are there any apps out there similar to that I can use for HomePod?

Just ask Siri to tell you the news, or is that not what you want?

That’s fine for one source at a time. But she doesn’t have much and is more likely to launch in to a long podcast.
Not even remotely close to Alexa’s flash briefing.

Is there a shortcut that you can use to link it all together?

On my echos I have transport information, news, weather and then tech news in mi flash briefing.

No, nothing. Since most of what makes up a flash briefing doesn't exist in podcast form. Some of it does so I made I podcast playlist. However if I try to launch that with my voice on my phone I get an error and it won't launch at all on the HomePod as it seems the shortcut didn't transfer. Apples podcast app is rather clunky as well.
I'm going to try again in the overcast app as it also supports shortcuts and has some additional options.

But again, most of the news clips in the flash briefing aren't available as a podcast so I'm still missing out on a lot.
