Set your twitter account up with your cell phone number, then add the twitter short code as a contact. You can then use Siri to send a text, which gets tweeted for you!

BETA you paid nothing for it. You paid for an iPhone that has a voice recognition software clearly labeled as beta. The only people you should be communicating your dislikes towards is http://apple.com/feedback .

While I agree with you, it certainly isn't "clearly" labled.... Was there any mention of beta in that fancy new iPhone commercial about Siri? nope... The only people that talk about the beta are those of us that stay on top of tech websites or closely watched the keynote and that is a small percentage compared to total owners.

If you feel they didn't adequately inform you that it's a beta, feel free to sue them for twitter not being a function...good luck

It was advertised as beta during the Let's Talk iPhone keynote.

And presumably many of the tech sectors of the Internet were aware of this such that if a consumer did some research into Siri prior to buying that consumer would discover Siri is, in fact, a beta. Naturally this is not going to help impulse or otherwise poorly-informed buyers.

That said -- yes -- Apple should probably be more clear about it in their own marketing campaigns.

so when Siri works, its awesome. when it doesnt, its "beta" . LOLZ.. pathetic apologists.

Siri is awesome.
Siri is beta.

One of these is pure objective fact. The other is subjective. You're a rationalist -- this shouldn't be beyond your understanding. ;)
