Wasn't she supposed to be smarter after updating to iOS 11? She still refuse to read for me like Google/Google assistant does. Also, she still can't connect one information to the other, for instance:

    - "who the president of united States?"
    - "how tall is he?"

Such a gimmick. All she got was a visual makeover. Her functionality is still the same.

Apple, let us use Google assistant to its fullest ability, thanks.

All these voice assistance services essentially do the same thing, Siri in IOS 11 appears to be enhanced with dictation and deciphering, which I feel has improved. Everybody's results will be different. And not to mention, Siri is server-based, not iOS based.

And Apple is not going to allow Google assistant to be fully operable on an iOS base device, similarly, as to Siri would not be predominant on an android device. That be fairly contradictory.

I'm guessing you meant to say "Who is the President of the United States?"

And it appears that Siri doesn't want to believe it... :p

Well that shouldn't pose a challenge to her! ;)

They only added functionality. They didn't make her smarter.

Maybe my English is terrible af, but she sets 13 minutes timers instead of 30 -.-

I just asked who the president was (unfortunate but correct response) and then asked “how tall is he” and got the right answer so ‍♀️. She still excels at alarms, reminders, phone calls, text messages, and it’s faster for me to look up fact based information than to wait for a response (didn’t find it to be more than a party trick with google assistant on my pixel either). To each their own.

My only issue with Siri is it does not read outloud general questions.
For example, yesterday I was at the beach and noticed the red flag. I dont know what that means, so I asked both.

I ask Google Assistant and it reads me what the Red flag means (High tide)

I ask Siri and all I get are web results. Whats stupid is that the web results say the same thing as Google, but Google reads the most relevant one.

I'm not sure why Apple does not program Siri this way as well.

At this point I only use Siri for timers, alarms and weather.
