Awwwwww man! Too bad I didn't buy any of these iPhones. I'd really like to be able to buy absolutely nothing with the .16 cents I would have eventually received from this class action lawsuit.

Remember: ...iPhone users could receive up to a $95 payout.

We bought 3 of those phones in our house but none purchased during those months, this sucks.

15 Pro: September 2023
2x 16 Pro: April 2025

Why you don't agree with iPads and Mac??? Like come on why the hell would you pay somebody who bought an iPhone 15 pro and not me with my m4 MacBook Pro + M2 iPad Air !!! Should I sue Apple?

Why us only ?
Lawyers are standing by to make your dreams come true if they haven't already started the process.

These class action lawsuits are a joke. In the last two multimillion lawsuits, I was a part of, I received a check for less than two dollars. The last Apple lawsuit promised $25 per device up to four devices. When the check came, it was less than half that amount.

Doesn't Apple have complete records of their customers from card to address and phone number? Wouldn't it make more sense if the payment was mailed, or better, deposited into their apple cash? Waiting for the filing from the consumers won't cover all eligible people because lots of them don't even know about the lawsuit.

Get away with what? How, exactly, were you negatively affected by this? Would you have chosen a different OS had you known of the delays? Does the $100 make it all better?
Millions of customer bought the iPhone 16 specifically for Apple Intelligence. These customers did not need a new phone they wanted Apple Intelligence and Apple lied and coerced the money out of their pockets. /s

What about my 13 Mini?
With how we are getting dragged, I should be getting paid for remaining a customer at all!

☺️
It’s a double edged sword.

On one hand, yes you are getting dragged.

On the other hand you get to enjoy a particularly nice iPhone… I know I had one 😆

True confessions, I loved my mini 😎

Android phones have had a Face ID equivalent (Face Unlock) for years now. Google Pixel 7 has had it since 2022.
I think he was talking about this news article, which says their FaceID hardware equivalent is skipping the Pixel 11, so would be on the Pixel 12 in 2027.

The current face unlock on Pixel works great... IF you have good lighting. It is not equivalent to FaceID though.
And the Samsung implementation just unlocks your phone, but you still need your fingerprint for payments because it is not as secure as the Pixel implementation.

As a current iPhone 16 Pro Max owner I must say I was both delighted and disappointed in Apple.

Delighted because I don’t rely on AI, and didn’t choose this model because of it.

Disappointed in Apple’s handling of their AI debacle.

As a long time customer it’s nice to admire the company’s innovation, but AI isn’t in their list of accomplishments.

Once Android phones have Face ID then more people will switch over. That probably won't happen until 2027 at the earliest.
That's never going to happen because Face ID is trademarked by Apple.😉

Android has had face unlock for years. My old OnePlus Nord N10 5G has it and it's over 5 years old. I much prefer the fingerprint unlock (Touch ID) to the face unlock. I have that special talent where I can stop a clock by looking at it.😞

$25 per device to a max of $95. Not sure how that math makes sense, but whatev.
Lawyers take their 30%-40%, the rest is shared by the victims. $25 is the minimum is because that's the plantiff's cut divided by the total number of affected iPhones sold. If fewer people claim, more $$$ is available to those who do claim. I'm guessing $95 is the max because that's about 1/4 of the affected iPhone owners have already filed a claim. They're waiting on more people who want a piece of that pie.
