Is this something that will correct itself over time, or does it have something to do with the stereo speakers?

I had this same problem when I updated my iphone 5 with ios 7, and it corrected itself, but ios 7 has been out for a while now, so I figured it had been worked out?

What language did you set siri to?

Messing with Siri quite a bit for the last couple of hours and she doesn't sound as muffled as she did out of the box.. interesting, but the stereo speakers definitely gives her a different sound than on my iPhone.

Mine hasn't changed, still no where near as clear as on my phone, have you tried googles voice search with the google app, sounds pretty much the same on my iphone and ipad.

This is how to get the higher quality Siri voice, the device will download the voice pack at some point though.

Tap Settings >
Tap General >
Tap Accessibility >
Tap VoiceOver >
Scroll to and Tap Languages & Dialects >
Tap - Default Dialect >
Tap your preferred language > Turn on Enhanced Quality which is at the bottom of the same page.

I have just tried this on my rMini and air and the rMini is noticeably more muffled! also seemed to have more difficulty understanding my question. Very strange!

LOL, well at least I'm not alone, I did the same thing, it still understands me, but higher quality sound?, sounds worse now 😀 WTH?

I think some of speakers are just not installed right, this quality upgrade probably adds more low end, and maybe bad speakers just pronounce this, almost sounds like poor radio reception, and not just Siri.
