That's because 99% of users now only ask questions like, 'Hey Siri, what time is it?' Fails for most everything else, so why bother?
I was excited when getting my first iPhone a few years ago... about how Siri would be a big help while driving or such. But, it has been so useless (actually, more distracting and time consuming than just pulling over and doing it manually), that I've pretty much stopped using it.

I don't think 'smart' is so much the issue. I hear all this talk about Apple and AI and so-called smart devices and technologies. Meanwhile, Apple's search technology seems to be about pre-AltaVista level stuff. If you can't do basic search, how in the world are you going to do more advanced operations on what you find (or don't find)?

Oh I agree. I just wish Siri was a bit smarter but you are right Alexa isn’t much smarter than Siri but makes up for it with skills.
