Siri on iPad 3 - Background Noice Issue

Has anyone notice Siri waiting a long time after you stop speaking, when there is background noise?

I guess the iPad's noise reduction is not as good.

its definitely not as good as the iphone version. There are errors left and right.

That was always my theory on why the 4 and the iPad didn't get Siri in the first place.
