only if you use it right? what if you took it off your phone? oh wait...the damage's already been done huh? haha

Yes only if you use it. It doesn't send anything until Siri is "activated" by holding the home button and then spoken to

Is this possible?

I downloaded the siri framework using spire not realizing the needed token could expire every 24 hours. So i later uninstalled it. But then my iphone started announcing text messages as they came in, and asking if they should be read... the mute button doesn't quash them... So the first time it happens I'm sitting in a meeting with my CMO and my my phone chirps up, "Text message from Trouble, shall I read?"... My CMO just sat there smiling ear-to-ear and said, "...please say yes..." Not cool.... I can find no way to deactivate the thing! After talking with apple tech support, they where like "wow that's a feature on the 4s but not on the 4... but were not sure why it's doing that. Do you have any third party apps that could... yada, yada, yada" (my phone is jailbroken and I got atleast 50 apps that could do it, but I'm not saying that!) On the way home I'm talkng with a nurse about a patient over bluetooth, The thing chimes in again and says during the phone call, "text messages from Sunshine, Shall I read." REALLY!. The nurse starts laughing and says she'll let me go as I probably have something else I have to get too.
The light then went off in my head that something must have been left over from the download of the siri framework I deleted... But how to get it off? This is cramping my style....

Because apparently you'll anger the MR gods if you start a new thread for a new question/thought/idea I better post here.

a) Are any private servers working still? (Not asking for access, just if they are working?)
b) How many 'slots' can be used per server/24h iP4S key before :apple: notices?
c) Have any iP4S' been blacklisted because of being used for a proxy?

If anyone has any answers, I'd very much appreciate it.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I asked Siri when the next iPhone is coming out and all she did was laugh at me.

Siri is way overrated anyway. Once you guys get it you will see that it's really not worth this hassle.

Truth. I use it maybe once a week now, and that's just to show the world I'm a tool for buying a 4S

I just want to say I use siri at least once a day on my 4S. It's the best for location and regular reminders, timer and alarms, reading txt and also for writing inside apps is great when you want to write a lot or sending a txt while driving (safer than just normal txt) I guess some people that own an iPhone 4S don't have a busy enough life and don't harness the power of this new tool for easier living... If you don't use it, it doesn't mean is a gimmick.

I don't care if other iPhones get Siri and would be happy for my fellow iPhone users. You don't want to be one of those 'hipster' in line for an iPhone from those Samsung commercials...

Working Siri Proxy

I found a working siri proxy server. It works great and I'm using for a couple of weeks now.
siriproxy.r8.org

Is Spire known to be a drain on the battery? I'm trying to figure out what app is responsible for my poorer than usual battery life.

is this spam or for real??? anyone done this?

what you've got to be aware of is that if you use an unreliable/unknown proxy all your info goes through this, and as such a security risk.

There are companies that rent a siri proxy to you on a yearly basis for around $20 or £13 sterling.

They do state that they cannot guarantee 24/7 access and that if apple get annoyed then they may have to tear down their service and may not be able to offer a refund.

Ive talked to people who are using certain sites and are really happy with it.
