Every now and then I’ll say, “hey Siri, call my wife” or “message my son” for example and I get “Who is your...” Other times it’s fine. Anyone else get this?

Quick edit: my wife just said she’s had this happen lately too. She noticed it around the last update. But I’ve had it happen before that on my phone, so I’m not sure what it is.

I have the same issue sometimes now.
Want to add: I've just got free Google hub with Next door bell. It can understand me 10x times better than Siri.

It’s random but it seems like it’s happening a little more often lately. Just wondering if anybody knows why or even how to fix it.

So I talked to Apple before, and the rep tells me that it’s normal for Siri to forget things from time to time. I was like what??? He asked all the basics, I advised that I’ve done it all and no change. He advised me that I should just change my wife’s name to “My Wife” and the same for my son. Unbelievable. Onward and upward with Apple tech support I guess. I will be getting a call back from the next level of tech support tomorrow.

Ha ha ha. did the rep say “it’s normal”? That’s actually so funny.
