Worked for me, but I don't have an accent. :D

huh? I thought you said everyone in NY has an accent...
I thought I don't have an accent either, and then you came up with that NY, NYC, MA accent thingy & I probably don't even know of my accent.
So you say upstate NY (where you live) is the only part which has no accent?^^

Correct, we don't have an accent up here. :D.

Unless we go to a place that has an accent, then they say I have an accent and they don't. ;)

hahaa :) okay I get you.
But why am I the only person that has problems with raspberry, I think there was another guy from NY who said he's completely fine w/ it (maybe he is from NYC but I am not sure) & then there is you who also has no freakn' problem with it :(

You know you can edit anything you say to Siri, just say it and click on what you said, you can then type what you want Siri to answer.

Yeah I am well aware of that.
The fact is, it is raging me that I can't get it right by my voice :-(

I find Siri understands better when raised to speak, maybe try it this way?

It's curious that you say so.
Didn't work for me with raise to speak.
But the normal position worked (blue underlined^^)

Lol I am not sure why it doesn't get your pronunciation of that word, but I'd like to see Apple do something like what google does for google voice. When they transcribe a voicemail you can click on the bottom right corner and say if it did a good job, and you can submit it to google to improve their service.

Would be nice if you can submit Siri errors, and send them your voice with it, and give you the option to type in what you want it to say.

hahaha yeah & then everyone is laughing about my pronunciation of raspberry @ the Apple Headquarters :)

I never seen that function to actually rate the quality of their machine, you talking about the Google Now app right?

Oh ok, I was just trying to help :)

Yeah thank you :)
Eh, maybe I could set my Siri to Canadian^^
Did it work for you? flawlessly.

Edit: Cool, thanks for giving me the idea of changing the Siri language...
At least I figured out that UK-Siri is even worser in understanding raspberry than it already is...
I think Aussie-Siri is quite good^^ tho I think I keep getting better with it at all :)

I must be careful dictating text messages using the word peanuts. I was having a text conversation with my wife who is in China asking if she and her mother are enjoying the peanuts and without noticing it substituted the word for male member. Caused a chuckle but now I'm aware and cautious

The Inception

I wanted to know how many calories are in a raspberry.
I simply asked Siri in my basic voice...of course she got something completely different. *wat a surprise*

I haven't just tried it twice or twenty times. Really loads of times...
It does indeed confuse me if something is wrong with my talk or if it is the software behind (Google gets me more often than Siri)

But as I see I am one of the rare species who has probs with raspberries  :(

I see. Thanks for the response!

Me: How many calories are in raspberries?

Siri: Would you like me to search the web for 'How many calories are in masterpiece'?

Well, I am Scottish.

I said "razberries" and it correctly identified it as "Raspberries" but then tried to find it as a location

haha okk, masterpiece is new to me but trust me, I got some really weird words over the time of my 'Raspberry' problem...
And these words weren't nearly close to any kind of the pronunciation of raspberry
You use the UK-Siri I guess, don't you?

Apple actually has a huge database in which they store all conversations with Siri, so the engineers can figure out that Siri made a mistake without you alerting them to it.
If Siri thought you said "EL," when you actually said "Yale," you can tap your speech bubble and use the keyboard to fix the error. That doesn't mean Siri won't think you said "EL" in the future, though.

I ask Siri "Where can I find Raspberries".

Siri: I found 10 reviews mentioning raspberries. Then suggest IHOP restaurant.

I did not know I could type in there that's good to know, when Siri gets something wrong I always do it again. Good to know they are listening too. Bet there are some interesting things said.
