is anyone else seeing incredibly slow response times with their Siri remote with the newest tvOS update? Mine is essentially unusable.

I can confirm this issue with the latest tvOS 10.1 update. I can still trigger the parallax effect on app icons with the remote, but swipe gestures are often not recognized. The iOS and watchOS remote apps work fine.

I thought my remote was the culprit, so I ordered a new remote. I could never get the new remote to pair so I just did a Reset with latest update. During the setup process I paired the original remote and used it all afternoon with no problems. Now, this evening it is acting the same way as before and now so is my other AT4 in my bedroom. Something is definitely not right.

Mine started working again about two days after the update. I did re-pair it and that seemed to help a little bit, but it wasn't until another day or so until full functionality returned...

I was having trouble 2 nights ago with my Siri remote-not exactly like this but thought I'd mention it in this thread for reference. After i updated appleTV to the newest, the remote kept displaying 'remote connected' or 'remote charging', on and off every couple of minutes. Truly annoying.

Husband put it in a signal proof box so it couldnt talk, error messages still popped up.

Found this fix in the Apple support forums. It seemed to be caused by the remote app on my watch-it Was the one throwing the error, theoretically.

Couldnt delete the remote app from my watch, but deleting it from my phone did the trick. No new remote error messages, and my marriage was saved.

Weird? It worked though.
