Anyone know if Siri is restricted to newer machines or if it is available on all Sierra supported macs?

From what I understand, the feature is available on all Sierra compatible computers.

Tried it on my MacBook Pro (mid 2010; 13 inch)
It worked fine. Guess all Macs can do it.

Awesome. Glad to see that they didn't limit Siri to newer models with dual mics.

Not in my case. MBA 11" 2012. Siri works, microphone works, but nothing happens when I talk to her / him / it...

There waveform reacts to my voice, but nothing else...

Hope not. I have a Mac Pro from the year 2009 batch. Waiting to hear HAL 9... eh, Siri's voice.

I really like the new Siri feature on the Mac. It is working well. I just wish we had the "Hey Siri" as well.

I have it installed on my unsupported mid-2009 iMac and it's working great. If it's running on my computer, it'll run on any computer!

Yes, also an unsupported MBP 5,1 (late 2008). Very responsive.

Has anyone installed Sierra on a Mac Mini? If so, what audio inputs does it support.

Anything in particular that you use Siri for?

I would like to issue macro commands, if possible?

^^^^Sorry - I misread your post. Thought you were on a 2009 Mac Pro.
