Siri Shortcuts - “I do not recognise that command”

so Siri shortcuts flat out doesn’t work on my series 3 watch on watchOS 5. Everytime I ask a trigger phrase, I just get the response in the attached image.

Anyone getting this or have any ideas? I’ve set up half a dozen shortcuts that all work on my phone and HomePod, but none work on my watch.

Carrot Weather - “Hey Siri, weather report.” works for me on My Series 2 with watchOS 5. Displays weather info, but doesn’t read it. Not sure if Siri should do this.

I think it’s only on the series 3 that Siri can speak to you.

Same here. They work intermittently for me.

I was having the same problem last night. Rebooted both the watch and phone (at the same time) and now all is working fine.

Which ones have you managed to get working with your HomePod?

I’ve not got any to work with it so far.

I’ve got log caffeine, morning brief and browse reddit shortcuts that all work on iPhone and HomePod, but literally none of any shortcut I’ve tried, custom or pre-built from the gallery work on my watch.

Exact same issue here with my Series 3. I made a simple shortcut that only displays a notification and still get the "I do not recognize that command". I have restarted my watch and phone with no luck.
