So this is a rant.

If there are any mistakes in this route you can blame Siri for it because I am using the speech to text function which is the bottom right of the keyboard screen and as I am saying this there’s already a mistakes in this paragraph

So my main issues and they’ve been around for awhile is that when you press the dictation or speech to text function I’m not sure if it’s correct name on the bottom right of the screen when you have your keyboard activated not only does it take an age to kick in once you’ve pressed it But when you start talking it misses words out or replaces my words with things that make no sense

Just reading the paragraphs above that I’ve dictated and I can already see there’s a lot that doesn’t make sense

Look Apple this is very simple if the new iOS does not solve these problems and just leaving for android

I use this function quite a lot due to a disability and if you cannot get it working, I’m simply going to go to an operating system that does work properly

I have tried this on a number of android device devices and it is far better

Once again, apologies if this writing makes no sense you can blame Apple and more specifically the team who is responsible for Siri

Siri is pretty awful in my opinion and you are right to complain about it and say Android does it better: it does.

You can give Voice control a try. It works better than Siri IMO and it doesn't do that annoying thing where you've corrected a whole text and then it messes it up before you send it.

To find it you go to Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control.
It lets you use a large range of commands. Admittedly Siri does this too now but many more so you can say correct, delete, and replace followed by the word. Undo that, Move to end...

So suppose you said 'I'm going to the park' and it thinks you said 'bark' you say 'correct bark' and then say park (and hope it gets it right this time) but you can also then correct it manually too) Also 'undo that'

Or you can say 'correct bark with park' Or if you say 'Are you going to the park question mark' it'll include the question mark.
This works well if you turn off auto-correct and to do that you go Settings → General → Keyboard and there you can turn off auto - correction and predictive and correct spelling if you like. I suggest you play with these and see what orks best for you
But the best bit is, once you've got your message how you like it won't mess it up when you send it! It leaves it alone.

So in conclusion here's a sample workflow:
Say: 'open mail (or open messages)
Say: tap compose (then the name of the recipient)
Say: 'Hey comma I'll be in the park at 10' period (It says bark)
Say replace bark with park
Say: tap send

There are loads more commands and it'll take a while to figure it out and see what's best for you but it does work better than the terrible Siri.
I do so hope it helps you and makes your life a little easier. Siri is so frustrating
Best

A couple of other things: if you don't find it search for it as you may have to set it up first.
It doesn't send any info to Apple.
It will listen for commands and on my OS I have a blue icon top left on the home screen. If I say 'go to sleep' it turns it off and if I say 'start listening' it turn it on. It listens for those commands
But you will also be able to use it to do things like 'open safari' so it may well be very useful to you
