How transformative is watchOS 5 for Hey Siri commands (with or without saying “Hey Siri.”)??

I find it to be LIGHT YEARS faster at sending messages etc etc than any previous watchOS. On my Watch Series 3 the speed is sensational.

I’m not the only one experiencing this, surely?!

Raise to speak is definitely hit and miss for me, but Siri's speed is still blowing me away.

Raise to speak only seems to work for me if I whip the watch up close to my mouth really fast and speak immediately. It's like the window it's active is tiny. It needs to require much less military precision to be useful. I'm also finding shortcuts are rarely triggered from the watch, instead I get wait and I'll tap you, followed by "there was a problem".

Has worked perfect for me since updating.

Twice raised to get Siri to start a countdown & was fine.

Earlier started an outdoor walk by raising & saying “ Start Outdoor walk “ - No problems at all.
