From time to time, I'll be working at my desk, and Siri will just pop up on my phone.
Rather odd, since I've not activated it, or asked a question, etc. However, I'm still trying to determine the pattern, when exactly this happens.

Anyone else have Siri randomly 'start'?

Do you have 'Hey Siri' enabled?

It is on, albeit, I never use it. I don't even use Siri.
On another forum, someone was explaining that probably a similar "Hey Siri", would/could have activated it.

I was speaking on my desk phone at the time. Albeit, didn't say "Hey Siri". Further more, I have an English accent, another reason why I don't use many voice activated functions.

Ivan???? Dude!!! Where ya been?!

My Siri goes on all the time. Frequently when I'm on my iPad using FaceTime with my mother. Neither of us say anything remotely like "hey Siri." All of a sudden it's just madly taking dictation. My take is that it's jealous and wants to be included in the conversation.

Hmm, might be best to disable it if you don't use Siri and that should prevent it from going off :)

Sounds like turning off the voice activated option is the preferred method. If I do that, I can still activate it via holding the home button, no? Thanks all

PS: @AlliFlowers how the heck are ya? I hope you're doing very well!

Siri will still work via the usual press and hold the home button method (unless Siri itself is completely disabled).
