Siri - underwhelming voiceover?

Is it just me, or is the somewhat robotic voiceover demoed on Siri a bit underwhelming? Try to compare it to the Nuance supplied voices for Lion (downloadable), such as Samantha for US English. The latter is far more natural sounding, and while it comes at a certain cost in terms of size, wouldn't it be worth it? Nitpicking, I know, but the voiceover is basically the same as is already part of iOS, and that one has never been particularly nice.

I would like the voiceover to be sounding like Homer Simpson.
 
I agree, and this is the first thing i noticed. I don't want that voice talking to me. They should redo the voice with a nice natural sounding one.
 
I've said it before:

Why couldn't Apple simply port one of the Mac OS Lion's human voices?

Current one sounds so 1990.
 
I will only use siri if the voice can be changed to Samuel L. Jackson and it finishes each remark with "Mother ****er"
 
Well it is a perfect way of making money for Apple and they LOVE making money. So I would expect them to have downloadable voices ( for a cost! ) once it is out of beta.
 
The voice of Siri here in the US is Samantha on lion.. Go ahead and look at this video (0:05) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ucd8_5RLzL8
Compare that by going to Speech in System Preferences, and turning on Samantha. Then go to THE Text to Speech tab and check "Speak Selected text.."

Highlight the phrase below then press Opt+Esc.
The time in Paris, France is 8:16 PM

They will be exactly the same

THE OFFICIAL VOICE OF SIRI IN THE US IS NUANCE'S Samantha IN LION.

I want Siri to sound like Jarvis, from Iron Man.

Seriously though, I noticed that the British Siri (guy voice?) has a much more pleasant/natural voice. Hope I can change it to that. I'll take it over the one demoed by Apple.

Siri: "How may I help you?"
User: "Jailbreak yourself"

You say they love making money like it's a bad thing...

They are only in this business for one reason, and one reason only. To make money.

I want the British dude, too.
I wonder if they have different 'personalities'.

The girl Siri has some sass, from what I've seen so far!
